PReS-FINAL-2246: CBCT versus orthopan tomogram detecting TMJ alteration in JIA
نویسندگان
چکیده
Methods 61 JIA patients with TMJ alterations were imaged by OPG and CBCT (mean age 11 years, 5-17 years). Mandibular ramus height was measured on OPG (distance between point Condylion and Gonion) and condyle height on CBCT (distance between incisura and point Condylion). The difference between right and left sides was calculated. Condylar changes were graded in five damage scores (Billiau 2007) by two dentists.

Radiologic features of temporomandibular joint osseous structures in children with juvenile idiopathic arthritis. Cone beam computed tomography study.
INTRODUCTION Patients with juvenile idiopathic arthritis (JIA) have a high risk of temporomandibular joint (TMJ) involvement. Lesions in the TMJ appear early in the course of this disease. Evaluating the structure of the TMJ in JIA patients using cone beam computed tomography (CBCT) provides an understanding of the typical radiologic features of morphological change in TMJs of JIA patients. Thi...

Methods This descriptive study is based on data from a cross-sectional sample from 32 countries worldwide between 19982000, diagnosed with JIA, enrolled for validation of the Child Health Assessment Questionnaire (C-HAQ) and Child Health Questionnaire (CHQ), and also children enrolled in the PRINTO Methotrexate (MTX) trial. Disease activity and quality of life were assessed. Diagnosis of TMJ in...

INTRODUCTION This study was to investigate whether there was statistical difference between the bilateral temporomandibular joint (TMJ) in patients with unilateral TMJ pain or joint sounds, using cone beam computed tomography (CBCT). METHODS TMJ CBCT images of 123 cases were used to preliminarily determine the indicators suitable for the measuring method. TMJ CBCT image reconstruction was per...

Introduction In the past few years the use of musculoskeletal ultrasound (MSUS) in pediatric rheumatology has proven to be better than clinical examination in detecting synovitis. It is a simple, inexpensive, noninvasive and reproducible method that is ideal for pediatric patient. The progress of therapy options has resulted in quick remission, reversal of inflammation and improvement of life q...
